I'm wondering which Ubuntu forum might be best to register with, for getting answers to all those Linux / Ubuntu related questions that are not all that much specific to Uberstudent.
Any recommendations?

I register for forums on every distro I've used more than a few weeks. I also suggest you check out FB groups (The elite Linux User Group), LinkedIn groups (Linux Foundation), and sites that offer training (cybrary.it).

Their Python for Security Professionals course looks intriguing.

I'm taking Linux + right now. It's a decent refresher. It doesn't go nearly as deep as Linux Essentials in edx.org.
