Not sure where this question should go (here or the software section), but...
I wanted to change the style/theme for my standard desktop, but have discovered that my fonts in the toolbar at the top disappear when using any style other than the A+* series, and the Xfce-dusk style. Are the font colors separate from the thems themselves? What is the way to approach changing this?
One other somewhat tangential question to this came to mind as well--many of the other styles make the icon labels stand out because their backgrounds are not invisible/transparent to the underlying desktop image. The A+DarkSilver style seems to have this trait. Can it be changed in the other styles?

Ha. After briefly thinking about my edit above, I perused the panel preference dialog and found the appearance background setting set to background image. Changing this to None (use system style) fixes the issue.
I now realize something similar is true for the icons' labels as well.
