Post subject:  Directly loading into windows 7

After installing, the system is directly loading into windows 7 rather than showing a grub menu. Its on a different computer and I dont know how to add the info here. I checked some ubuntu forums and they suggested choosing boot repair, however I cant find it in the installer. Please let me know what to do.

edit* found boot-repair already installed in the live usb! working on it. sorry for the waste of resources.

So after running boot-repair it doesnt even load into windows and uberstudent wasnt showing before. But it does show a grub menu, however no option gives anything.

Help plz

did boot-repair a few times, and a reinstall of uberstudent...
then boot repair again and got this file

still stuck... when booting uberstudent it says kernel panic - not syncing : VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0)

doesnt show windows in the bootloader...im assuming its because grub is on sda5

what to do now?

Did you look at this page: http://uberstudent.org/phpBB/viewtopic. ... b5ed1c9ef9

Especially pertaining to disabling UEFI if applicable. If your computer does use UEFI make sure you read the link: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2417361,00.asp

Was UberStudent working once installed? Did your problem start upon reboot from installing UberStudent? Do you have a Windows 7 boot CD/DVD/USB? The Boot CD/DVD/USB would be used to fix Windows 7 to boot so you have a working computer till someone can help with the UberStudent install.

Maybe someone else will answer before you read this post. If no one has answered otherwise then the answers to the above questions will hopefully give some useful information for someone to be able to help you. Please be patient as I know Stephen (UberStudent creator) will answer when he has an opportunity. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on the forum who will try to help.
