I need to ask this because it seems like there are many problems with intel graphics in Ubuntu 13.04; Is the intel graphics working for Plato?

I keep seeing all sorts of troubles lately with Raring (13.04) and there are alledged fixes out there (such as Intel's very own graphics installers), but with varying results, so I am just doing the research before going to Plato...

Thanks for any input anyone can give me on this!

Mike

P.S.
Is there any work being done on integrating weston/wayland in Plato?

I've not heard of issues with it, but you can install the official Intel graqphics drivers in UberStudent by following these directions.

I'm keeping watch on the wayland issue for now. We'll see. 8-)

Well, that's kind of the problem, The Intel Linux Graphics Installer seems to be unable to fix it and the xserver-xorg-video-intel driver isn't working too well either. I have seen that the display starts putting weirdness up that makes windows at strange angles and distorted renderings. The problems were so bad that it had to be removed and something else installed.

How strange that you haven't heard anything. I wonder if this was an isolated instance. So maybe I should just upgrade huh?

I just don't find many issues.

It's worth trying UberStudent. It does not use Unity, which may be the actual issue.
