Hello great community :)
After the xfce4-power-manager and xfce4-power-manager-data update that rolled from the uberstudent repositories, the power manager indicator that lets me make the computer go into presentation mode vanished :( anyone else experience the same thing?
Also, my xfce4-power-manager-plugins package is out-of-date after the update and the version does not match the xfce4-power-manager package, is that the case with everyone?
Thank you!

Please downgrade the two packages.

1. Copy the below line to your clipboard
Code:
sudo apt-get install xfce4-power-manager-data=1.2.0-3ubuntu4.1 xfce4-power-manager=1.2.0-3ubuntu4.1

2. Hit F12 on your keyboard to drop down a terminal and then use Ctrl+Shift+V to paste the line in to it and then hit Enter to run the line.

3. Hit Alt+F2 on your keyboard and run the following line:
Code:
xfce4-panel -r

If the indicator does not then display, log out and log back in and it should.

Let me know if this somehow does not solve the issue.

After downgrading the packages, not after restarting the panel but after restarting the computer altogether the indicator reappeared.

Should I mark it as solved and ignore updates for the power manager?

Yes, please mark it solved. :)

I've removed the updated packages from the repo for now so there will be nothing to ignore. Although I did not have an issue with them, I'm gong to assume that if you did others probably will, so it's best to play safer in this case. :geek:
