Suggest changing "extra system apps" and similar entries elsewhere to something like
"suggested apps to install"

I know its wordy but the reason is I've been playing with uber for several months and somehow my eyes always glossed over this. I guess I assumed it was piddly stuff or web apps. Maybe I'm the only one. Its your call.

Also, I don't need it for myself but others might appreciate it if you do one of these things for those using netbooks with teeny flash drives.
-a script to "tighten the belt" by optionally deleting some of the docs, unused fonts, unused icons, sources can save almost 2gb
-an option to install a "light" version where some of the larger apps are left out or listed in the "extra apps"
-partial or full file system compression
-I heard there is a linux program similar to upx that will "compress" some executables and libraries

The more I use it the more impressed I am. I can't help trying to make it even better. Good job!

I suppose I can see how the current wording might be unclear. How about "More Education Apps," More Graphics Apps," etc.?

A 4.x lightweight version that fits on a CD is in the works. There is an UberStudent 2.0 Lightweight version (LXDE) that is still supported. ;)

Ahh yes the lightweight cd is just the thing.

As far as the menu entry goes, I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm not even sure anything needs done with it. I might be the only one that had any problem with it. I leave it entirely to your discretion.
