Post subject:  Touchpad & touchscreen on Acer c720p chromebook not working

This issue was adressed in the topic "Touch pad on Acerc720 not working" but I think it was solved outside the forum.

There is a solution for this problem at http://vger.kernel.org/~davem/chromebook_pixel_linux.txt (step 10 and forward) where they are installing Debian on a Chromebook Pixel.
I tried to run it but I got stuck at
Code:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.2.0-4-amd64
. It says it can't find it, I'm guessing its because the file is in the Debian repositories or something.

I also found this solution for Ubuntu on an Acer720 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2190187.
Can use this directly on Uberstudent?
The parts where it says VM, can i just run them in the command line in uberstudent?
I ran cros-haswell-modules.sh as instructed before i started to think if it was such a good idea, will it cause any problems?

Could someone please translate these instructions to Uberstudent somehow? or maybe present another solution?

Thanks in advance

UberStudent 4.1 is effectively an arduously comprehensive remastering of Xubuntu 14.04; as such I have found UbuntuForums.org (and similar Ubuntu-centric sites) to be extremely useful for hardware-related issues. If you opt to use tk83's commandline code, you would simply hit F12 to bring down the Guake terminal. Regarding that cros-haswell-modules.sh script, I have seen more than one Xubuntu user report that it alone resolved the touchpad issue on their C720 Chromebook; was that not the case for you?

Yes!
It works! I didn't notice it until now because it works badly. I have to move my finger alot and press hard before it moves at all.
Thanks anyway!

Now that you have basic touchpad functionality, go to Settings > Hardware > Mouse and Touchpad to correct/adjust the touchpad sensitivity, etc.
