It looks like this isn't supported but I wonder if anyone has links to information so I can try to hack it?

To paraphrase, I was wanting to install uberstudent to the same partition I have XP on, without loosing xp.

Your suggestion of wubi in your other post looks like it might be a winner.

You cannot install Linux in to an NTFS file system, simple as that. It needs to reside on its own drive, just as Windows does. Linux can read and write to NTFS partitions. Windows has no native support for reading Linux formatted drives.

If you want to be able to rapidly switch between Linux and Windows without rebooting, VirtualBox using one system or the other as the host really is the very best option available. FYI, I have Windows 7 installed in VirtualBox with UberStudent as the host and it works very well...on the rare occasions I need to run Windows (I used to used to use it weekly for Netflix but no longer need to since Netflix support came to Google Chrome in Linux). :geek:
