I am running Uberstudent 4 inside a virtual box under Win7.
After an update, the auto login was lost and now one must select user "Uberstudent-4.0xfce" then enter "uberstudent" in password.
I would like to have auto login of Uberstudent 4 since it is already running inside Win7 with a password.
How can I do that?
Thanks,

This was my mistake. mdm-autologin-config is a very minor package. Few people use it. I honestly forgot to account for it in the recent major updates. At the next release of uberstudent-xfce-default-settings-enduser, I will make sure the mdm-autologin-config settings are not overwritten for the people who have chosen to install the mdm-autologin-config package. ;) It's actually easy to do, this just escaped my recent notice at this time. :|

You should just have to re-install the package mdm-autologin-config to fix the situation. :) Please do that. Let me if it works, as I think it will. ;)

I'm delighted to hear back that the many major updates I released tonight otherwise apparently went very well, as I had been testing them to be on over the past weeks. :geek:

Reading the entire thread, as James pointed to--I very highly recommend it for your own learning, to better understand what is really going on underneath stuff when you simply install a package. You can also choose to just take all those steps manually, at this time, if you wish. Just follow the directions precisely, if that's what you prefer to do, and you'll be just fine. :ugeek:

The accidental overwriting of the autologin file has been fixed in the package uberstudent-xfce-default-settings-enduser, which will hit the UberStudent repository in a few days. It shouldn't happen again. :geek:
