Post subject:  Internet connected before disc install, now it wont

When I was running US from a disc I could connect to my Wifi network without a problem, but after I installed US to the SDD and boot it from there whenever I attempt to connect after a minute I get the message "Disconnected You are now offline."

I'm new here, new to US and Linux in general. Please bear with me/help me out if this is the wrong place for this topic or if I need to include more info. Thanks!

Let's find out your hardware specs.

Go to Applications > System > Hardware > System Profiler and Benchmark > Generate Report > Devices > Generate and then attach the file hardinfo_report.html to your reply to this post.

Your driver (Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter) has issues in the Linux kernel (where all drivers are located) in UberStudent 3.0's raring base.

The probable fix is to create a configuration file for it and add a tweak. To do that in one step, open a terminal (just hit F12 in UberStudent) and run:

Code:
sudo echo "options rtl8188ce swenc=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8188ce.conf

Then reboot.

Does this fix the issue?

The issue will likely not exist in UberStudent 4.0, which I have 99% done. I'll be building ISOs for it later this week.
