I installed Uberstudent to a USB no problem. But My keyboard is scrambled. The I and L come out as numbers and the numbers themselves come out wrong. I notice this with one other distro (ArtistX), but could never resolve it.Other distros don't do this, the keyboard comes out find. I am impressed with Uberstudent and would like to use if someone could help me resolve the keyboard issue. Is there a setting where I can just choose a different keymap?

Hi,

some questions first :) :
Which language do you want to set? And which keyboard do you use? And also, do you use an external keyboard plugged in to a notebook?
Really weird... Does pushing the NumLock button solve the problem?
In the Leightweight Edition there is a program called Lxkeymap which allows you to set your keyboard layout. The other editions (xfce and mate) have their respective settings manager, too. Which .iso did you download?

I down loaded the latest DVD version. I am using an Asus u46e laptop, using the keyboard on it. Want to use English.

Mike, did you install the XFCE-only, MATE-only, or dual-boot DVD?

I downloaded the 64 bit 3.7 gig one. I did notice you could chose KDE .

That must be the dual boot DVD, correct?

In XFCE, go to Applications > System > XFCE > Keyboard and try one of the alternative generic keyboard layouts.
